Cameras, Cameras, Cameras!

Tue Jun 9, 2009, 10:10 PM
Been doing a lot of research into the different entry level prosumer cameras I could buy and it looks like the Panasonic DVx 100b is top of its class but cannons XH-A1 looks about at the level of the DVx 100a, I have had great luck with their cameras so far and have worked with a DVx 100a so it wouldn't be that hard to say its a big upgrade. The XH-A1 is about $1000 more, So I keep going back to the DVx 100b because it was the camera I started out with when I first got introduced to film. I looked at sony too but there entry level prosumer stuff is either really bad and $2000 or great and $5000 but still entry level. for $5000 dollars I would get a pro film camera and shoot a big budget film.

wish there was a way I could see how the cannon XH-A1 felt before I throw my money at something.

Thanks for the :+fav:!
Your very welcome!

waow, yehh? well, i'm listening to it now, ehh, it's not bad. :] interesting.
damn, yehh, don't you just hate the expenses? ;o
mmhmm, same. i like those too.
yeah, i did mess around with them a bit but that was quite a while ago when i was younger. :)

thanks AGAIN, haha.
ya know, for the watch. :)
you have some really good photo in your gallery. i hope you keep up with the B&W medium, I have always wanted to try infrared photography. I have seen some, and like B&W it makes the definition of the subject pop out.

you think? why, thank you. :)
yeah, actually, most of the black and white photos i have are pretty old photos. i have loads of them, just wondering whether i should put them up or what.
definitely, i agree. maybe i should get back into the black and white thing. haha :D
i might be fun to see how you ave grown as an artist on top of being trying new things with an old style, you should probably experiment with monochromatic and stylistic photography the color photos you have also show that you have a great eye for that sort of thing. have you ever made films or tried your hand at motion capture?

haha, that's a good idea. i guess i should give it a shot...:)
never made a film before, though it would be cool to try it. maybe. and well, i've done a few motion capture photos but they're usually spontaneous ones, not deliberate per say. o.o
