Cameras, Cameras, Cameras!

Tue Jun 9, 2009, 9:10 PM
Been doing a lot of research into the different entry level prosumer cameras I could buy and it looks like the Panasonic DVx 100b is top of its class but cannons XH-A1 looks about at the level of the DVx 100a, I have had great luck with their cameras so far and have worked with a DVx 100a so it wouldn't be that hard to say its a big upgrade. The XH-A1 is about $1000 more, So I keep going back to the DVx 100b because it was the camera I started out with when I first got introduced to film. I looked at sony too but there entry level prosumer stuff is either really bad and $2000 or great and $5000 but still entry level. for $5000 dollars I would get a pro film camera and shoot a big budget film.

wish there was a way I could see how the cannon XH-A1 felt before I throw my money at something.

thank you for the favorite :D

yeah I love the B&W effect. Two questions how long have you played and a complete tangent question what kind of camera did you use? Sort of a photography buff, and the name off your piece embodies why I play the drums.

thanks! :D
i've been playing for...ehh, one, two years?
aaand i just used a digital one. -shrugs- it's the only one i have >.< so i have to make do with just that, haha.
how long have you been playing drums for then? :)
:iconshortbuss:
about two as well in a band too if you feel like it we have a quick recording of our first song [link] it's crappy and I need to revise the drum part, there are vocals but a good mic for that is like 50$ so that parts gonna have to wait. amazing the quality of cameras they have now. tho my personal love will always be the old school film. I have a Minolta srt101 manual focus. I love that thing to death. have you done anything with manual focus cameras?
